Removal of a gear belt of the GRM drive is carried out in the following order:
– disconnect the contact socket from the electromagnetic valve of a stop of the engine;
– remove the case of the air filter;
– remove a vekhny casing of the engine (AFN engine);

– remove metal spring brackets and plastic percussion caps or bolts of 9 (fig. 3.64) of fastening of the top cover of the GRM drive and remove the top cover 10 or 20;
– take off a belt of the drive of auxiliary units;
– turn off bolts of fastening of a pulley of the water pump and remove a pulley;
– install the piston of the cylinder No. 1 in compression step VMT (see subsection 3.3.3);
– turn off bolts 4 fastenings of a pulley of a bent shaft and remove a pulley 2;
– turn off bolts of fastening and remove brackets of fastening of the lower cover of the 1 or 19 GRM drive.
AAZ engine:

– check reliability of fixing of a pulley of TNVD the stopping core 1 (see fig. 3.63 );
– turn off external bolts of fastening of a pulley of TNVD half way;

       PREVENTION
Do not turn off the central bolt of a pulley of TNVD as it will change installation of the moment of injection of fuel.

– weaken a tension of a gear belt 6 (see fig. 3.64 ) the GRM drive, having turned off a bolt of the 8th fastening of a tension roller.
Other engines:
– turn off a bolt of the 8th fastening of a tension roller and shoot a tension video of the 7th gear belt of the GRM drive.
All engines:
– note a marker the direction of the movement of a gear belt 6 of the GRM drive in case you repeatedly establish it;
– take off a gear belt 6 of the GRM drive.
After removal examine a gear belt. With wear, stratification and other damages the belt needs to be replaced. In the presence of engine oil on a belt it is necessary to find the place of leak and to eliminate this leak.
Installation of a gear belt of the GRM drive is carried out in the following order:

– weaken a bolt of 1 (fig. 3.65) of fastening of the cogged pulley of the camshaft on a half of a turn;
– remove the cogged pulley 2 of the camshaft from an adjusting cone of the camshaft 4, by means of the drift passed through an opening in a back cover of the GRM drive;
– install a gear belt 6 (see fig. 3.64 ) on the cogged pulley 18 of a bent shaft, the cogged pulley 15 TNVD and the cogged pulley 2 (see fig. 3.65 ) the camshaft;
– establish a gear belt 6 by the flat party on a pulley of the 16th intermediate shaft and a tension roller 7.
All engines, except AAZ
– establish the directing roller of a gear belt on a back cover of the GRM drive and tighten a bolt of its fastening;
AAZ engine
– tighten external bolts of fastening of the TNVD cogged pulley;
All engines:
– remove the stopping core 1 (see fig. 3.63 ) TNVD pulley;
– be convinced that the right leading branch of a gear belt of the GRM drive passing through pulleys of TNVD and an intermediate shaft is tense, and the conducted belt branch from a tension roller — sags;
– pull a gear belt of the GRM drive povroty a tension roller clockwise and tighten a bolt of fastening of a tension roller or on the engine with the semi-automatic mechanism of a tension of a gear belt turn a tension roller 7 before combination of tags 8 on a roller and a nave of the mechanism of a tension;
– check a tension of a gear belt, having turned its branch between cogged pulleys of the camshaft and TNVD. The belt has to turn on a corner 90 °. If it turns on a smaller corner, then it is necessary to weaken its tension if on bigger — to pull a belt;
– tighten a bolt of fastening of the cogged pulley of the camshaft the moment of 45 N · m;

– remove adaptation 1 (see fig. 3.62 ) for latching of the camshaft;

– check combination of all adjusting tags: a flywheel (see fig. 3.61 ), the cogged pulley of the camshaft (see fig. 3.5 ) and the TNVD cogged pulley (fig. 3.67) ;
– turn a bent shaft on two whole revolutions clockwise and repeatedly install the piston of the cylinder No. 1 in compression step VMT, be convinced that the stopping core 1 (see fig. 3.63 ) can be freely established in an opening of the TNVD cogged pulley;
– check and adjust if necessary a tension of a gear belt of the GRM drive;
– establish lower 1 or 19 (see fig. 3.64 ) and top the 10 or 20 GRM drive covers;
– establish a pulley of the water pump and tighten bolts of its fastening;
– establish a pulley 2 bent shafts and tighten bolts 4 of its fastenings;
– establish a belt 3 drives of auxiliary units and adjust its tension;
– connect the contact socket of the electromagnetic valve of a stop of the engine;
– check installation of the moment of injection of fuel.
