Carry out removal of an epiploon of a forward cover of a bent shaft in the following order:

– on the AFN engine remove the top casing of the engine;

– disconnect the plug from the electromagnetic valve of a stop of the engine;

– merge engine oil from the engine;

– remove the plastic air ducts located in a zone of the right forward wheel;

– take off auxiliary driving belts;

– remove pulleys of auxiliary driving belts, a GRM belt and a pulley of a GRM belt from a bent shaft;

– remove the oil pallet;

– gradually and consistently turn off bolts of fastening of a forward cover 11 (see fig. 3.69 .) bent shaft;

– turning a forward cover 11 around a bent shaft, remove it together with an epiploon from the block of cylinders of the engine;

– take a forward sealing ring of a bent shaft by means of the screw-driver.

Carry out installation of an epiploon of a forward cover of a bent shaft in the following order:

– clear the interfaced surfaces of a forward cover of a bent shaft and the block of cylinders of the engine of traces of remote laying;

PREVENTION Check a forward cover for existence of cracks or deformations. At detection of damages such cover needs to be replaced

– oil a surface of a new sealing ring engine;

– using a bar (see section 3.3.13), establish a ring in a forward cover of a bent shaft;

– apply a thin film of sealant on the interfaced surface of the block of cylinders and install laying of a forward cover of a bent shaft on the block of cylinders;

– for protection against mechanical damages of a surface of a forward sealing ring of a bent shaft roll up an insulating tape the forward end of a bent shaft;

– oil a sealing ring pure engine;

– pressing in the axial direction and shaking a cover here and there establish a forward cover on cranked in bulk;

– insert bolts of fastening of a forward cover of a bent shaft and evenly shade their determined inhaling moment;

– install the oil pallet;

– you make installation of the removed elements in the sequence, the return to removal.
