On the cars equipped with window regulators with the manual drive, glasses fall and rise rotation of the handles located on door inside.

Power windows allow to lower and lift window glass by means of the window regulator switch on the corresponding door; to lower and lift glasses of all windows by means of the switch on the driver's door; to lift glasses of all windows at the same time turn of a key in the lock of a forward door on cars with system the central blocking of locks.

Drives of power windows work only at the included ignition. If after switching off of ignition the door of the driver did not open, then the automatic mode of a raising and lowering of glasses of windows works 10 more min. It does not belong to a window regulator of a door of the driver. Its drive works only at the included ignition.

Depending on a complete set switches of window regulators can be located:

– on a door of the driver (fig. 1.5) – four switches for all glasses of doors with the switch 2 blocking of window regulators between them;

– on the right forward door — the switch of a window regulator of the right forward door;

– on a hand-rail of a door of the driver — two switches of window regulators of forward doors;

– on hand-rail of the right lobby and back doors — on one switch for a window regulator of each door;

– on the dashboard over the lighter — the switch 13 (see fig. 1.1 ) controls of power windows of back doors.

Glass of any window falls or rises long pressing respectively by the bottom or upper edge of the switch.

Repeated pressing the corresponding switch stops work of a window regulator.

All glasses of a door can open at the same time in the automatic mode. It is possible to operate door glasses centrally (see subsection. "System of the central blocking of locks").

PREVENTIONS During the work of window regulators with the electric drive be careful as at an automatic raising of glasses it is possible to get wounds and bruises. In case of emergency rise or lowering of glass of a door can be stopped immediately pressing of the switch 2 (see fig. 1.5 ) blocking of window regulators. Leaving the car, surely take a key from the lock of ignition and you remember that the window regulator is disconnected only after the door of the driver is open, and then is quickly closed. At repeated opening of a door of the driver window regulators join repeatedly.
