The broad tank

of the hydraulic booster of steering is located in a motor compartment near the rechargeable battery. Before check of level of liquid in a broad tank it is necessary: – to install the car on a plain surface;
– to establish forward wheels in provision of the rectilinear movement;
– to stop the engine.
Level of liquid is looked through through tank walls. It has to be between tags of "MIN" and "MAX". In addition the cover of a tank is executed for a single whole with the index of level of liquid. If the engine warm, the level of liquid has to be near a tag of "MAX" if cold – "MIN", to exceed it.
In the hydraulic booster of steering on release cars till February, 1989 Dexron II ATF liquid, on models of the subsequent releases — special oil is applied to VW G 002 000 hydraulic drives.
