       PREVENTIONS
1. When opening a cover of a broad tank (fig. 1.57) on the hot engine be careful as the coming-out hot vapors can lead to severe burns.
2. Do not allow hit of cooling liquid on skin, clothes and a paint and varnish covering of a body, otherwise to wash out a surface a plentiful amount of water.

Fig. 1.57. Broad tank of the cooling system

Level of cooling liquid. For normal operation of the engine the level of cooling liquid has to be between the marks "MIN" and "MAX" of a broad tank. On the cold engine the level of cooling liquid in a broad tank has to be at the level of a tag of "MIN", on hot – "MAX". In a broad tank there is a sensor of level of cooling liquid which at emergency decrease in level of cooling liquid includes an alarm lamp in combinations of devices. Under normal conditions operation of the car and tightness the cooling system practically does not need additional maintenance. As cooling liquid apply antifreeze on an etilenglikolevy basis with corrosion inhibitor.
Check of tightness of the cooling system. Places of leak of cooling liquid can be determined by existence of a raid of white color. Bending and squeezing hoses and sleeves, check their elasticity and existence of cracks. Check reliability of fastening of hoses and sleeves of system.
Bystry decrease in level of cooling liquid, availability in it of oil, and also emergence of white smoke from an exhaust pipe testify to "burn-out" of laying of a head of the block of cylinders which needs to be replaced.
The fan of cooling of the engine turns on automatically on a signal of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid. After a stop of the hot engine the electric fan can work about 10 more min. After switching off of ignition perhaps automatic turning on of the fan at temperature increase of the engine.

       PREVENTION
If temperature of cooling liquid high, and the fan does not join, it is necessary to check and if necessary to replace the fan fuse. If the fan does not turn on again, address on service station and car repairs.
