Before launch of the engine install the gear shifting lever in neutral situation (or in situation "P" or "N" on cars with an automatic box) and press a coupling pedal. After launch of the engine release a key.
Launch of the cold engine short time can be followed by the increased noise connected with the insufficient pressure of oil in the lubrication system. Right after start-up it is possible to begin the movement, but so far the engine did not get warm, it is necessary to support the low frequency of rotation of a bent shaft.
At launch of the engine with system of injection of fuel do not press an accelerator pedal. If the engine does not start working during 10 with, stop start-up and repeat it through 30 pages again. If the engine repeatedly is not launched, check an integrity of the fuse of the electric fuel pump.
At launch of the hot engine after its start-up slightly increase the frequency of rotation of the engine, having pressed an accelerator pedal.
At launch of the diesel engine at turn of the ignition key in situation II (see
fig. 1.24
) in a combination of devices the control lamp of 7
(fig. 1.25)
of candles of an incandescence which informs the driver on inclusion of system of prestarting heating and dies away at their switching off when the engine gets warm up to the necessary temperature lights up.
The diesel engine 1.9 TD (55 kW, an engine code — AAZ) is equipped with system of prestarting heating which joins automatically when opening and closing a door of the driver. If the engine at the same time was not launched, the system will automatically join and be switched off after each repeated opening and closing of a door.
Order of launch of the diesel engine:
– turn a key in the ignition lock in situation II (see
fig. 1.24
), at the same time the control lamp 7 (see
fig. 1.25
) incandescence candles has to light up;
– turn a key in the ignition lock in situation III (see
fig. 1.24
) after the control lamp 7 goes out, and launch the engine;
– after launch of the engine immediately release a key in the ignition lock.
Launch of the cold diesel engine becomes simpler at increase in frequency of rotation of a bent shaft idling. This function is carried out by the regulator of frequency of rotation of a bent shaft idling. The handle 5 (see
fig. 1.1
) controls of the regulator is to the left of a steering column. For launch of the engine at air temperature above -15 °C completely extend the handle on yourself. If air temperature is below –15 °C, at first turn a key in the ignition lock in situation II (see
fig. 1.24
), then extend the handle 5 (see
fig. 1.1
).
In order to avoid a discharge of the rechargeable battery it is recommended to disconnect at inclusion of candles of an incandescence other consumers of the electric power.
At launch of the engine do not press an accelerator pedal.
If start-up is followed by uneven work with admissions of operation of cylinders, hold included in a starter, but no more than 30 pages.
If the engine is not launched, repeatedly include glow plugs and repeat start-up. If the engine is not launched from the second attempt, check an integrity of the fuse of candles of an incandescence. After warming up of the engine up to the working temperature install the handle of control of the accelerator of single turns in a starting position.
At a stop of the engine it is necessary to remember the following:
– after long operation of the engine under loading or works with a high frequency of rotation of a bent shaft do not switch off the engine right after a car stop. The engine has to work 2–3 min. idling. It will prevent an engine overheat;
– after an engine stop the fan of cooling of the engine can some time (up to 10 min.) to continue to work;
– the fan of cooling of the engine can turn on and after a while after an engine stop at temperature increase of not circulating cooling liquid.
