Forward and back epiploons of a bent shaft need to be changed at each its removal or at removal of forward or back covers of a bent shaft.
Replacement of a forward epiploon of a bent shaft is carried out in the following order:
– record a bent shaft of the engine from a provorachivaniye;
– turn off bolts of fastening of a quencher of tortional fluctuations and remove a quencher;

– remove a forward epiploon 13 (see fig. 3.54 ) a bent shaft from a forward cover of the 11th bent shaft by means of the screw-driver;
– clear an opening of a sealing ring in a forward cover of the 11th bent shaft and a neck of a bent shaft;
– install the directing plug of device for installation of an epiploon on a sock of a bent shaft;
– grease working edges of a new forward epiploon with engine oil and install an epiploon on the directing plug;

– install a mandrel of 2 (fig. 3.55) of adaptation on the directing plug and press an epiploon in a forward cover 3 bent shafts, tightening a bolt of 1 adaptation.
Replacement of a back epiploon of a bent shaft is carried out in the following order:
– remove the transmission, coupling and a flywheel;
– drill two openings of small diameter in an end face of a back epiploon 6 (see fig. 3.54 ) a bent shaft, screw in them two screws and remove an epiploon, having pulled out it flat-nose pliers for heads of screws;
– clear an epiploon opening in a back cover of the 5th bent shaft and a neck of a bent shaft;
– grease working edges of a new sealing ring with fresh engine oil;
– establish a back epiploon of a bent shaft by means of a mandrel;
– establish a flywheel (see subsection 3.2.10).
