Check of the vacuum amplifier

Press a pedal of a brake of 5-6 times at the idle engine to create the identical pressure close to atmospheric in cavities of the vacuum amplifier.

Determine by the effort enclosed to a pedal whether there is no jamming of the case of the valve.

Having stopped a brake pedal in the middle of its course, launch the engine. At the serviceable vacuum amplifier the brake pedal after launch of the engine has to leave forward. If it did not occur, check fastening of a tip of a hose, a state and fastening of a flange of a tip in the amplifier, and also a condition of a hose and unions.

Check a condition of the unidirectional valve for wear and damages. If necessary replace. The valve can be checked, blowing it air in both directions. At the same time the valve has to pass freely air from the vacuum amplifier of brakes to a vacuum hose.

Removal of the vacuum amplifier

You make removal in the following order:

— remove the main brake cylinder;

— in interior of the car from the driver remove the lower finishing of the dashboard;

— remove a lock ring and take a pin from a brake pedal pusher;

— disconnect a vacuum hose together with the unilateral vacuum valve from the vacuum amplifier of brakes;

— turn off nuts of fastening of the hydraulic block;

— take the vacuum amplifier of brakes from a motor compartment;

— remove rubber ring consolidation and in case of need replace it.

Installation of the vacuum amplifier

You carry out installation of the amplifier to the sequences, the return to removal, previously having applied on a pin with a head and an opening under the forelock a drop of universal lubricant.
