Hit of air in a hydraulic actuator brake reduces overall performance of brake mechanisms. Air can get to a hydraulic actuator owing to depressurization of system at repair or replacement of separate knots, and also replacement of brake fluid. Points to availability of air in the drive increased, in comparison with usual, the brake pedal course. Before removal of air check tightness of all knots of the drive of brakes and their connections.
Carry out removal of air from a hydraulic actuator of the brake system in the following order:
delete air consistently from wheels: the right back, left back, right forward, left forward:
remove the contact socket from the sensor of level of brake fluid on a tank;
uncover and put aside a tank;
remove a dustproof cap from the union of the valve of the wheel cylinder. Clear the valve of pumping and put on it a pure transparent hose which other end lower in the capacity which is partially filled with brake fluid. Capacity has to be at least 300 mm above the pumping union. Thanks to it hit of air in the cylinder through a pumping union carving is prevented;
sharply press a pedal of a brake of 3-5 times with an interval 2–3 with and at the pressed pedal unscrew half way the pumping valve. Continuing to press a pedal, force out the liquid which is in system together with air through a hose in capacity. After the pedal will rest against a floor and the effluence of liquid through a hose will stop, screw up the pumping valve against the stop;
repeat operation until the air outlet from a hose stops;
holding a pedal in the pressed situation, screw up the valve against the stop and remove a hose;
wipe the valve of pumping and establish a protective cap;
repeat the same operations for other wheels;
during removal of air control liquid level in a tank. Do not assume that liquid completely left a tank as at the same time air will get to system again. At absence the pedal of a brake has to pass about a half of the course in the drive of brakes of air. To exclude influence of the vacuum amplifier, you carry out pumping of system at the idle engine;
after pumping of the brake system establish a cover on a tank and connect the contact socket the socket.
Removal of air from a hydraulic actuator of the brake system of the cars equipped with ABS. Operation of pumping of brakes on the cars equipped with ABS in general is similar to described, differing from it only in a number of nuances.
You carry out removal of air from a hydraulic actuator in the following order:
delete air at first from lobbies, then from back wheels;
for reduction of pressure in the hydraulic brake system when pumping forward and back brakes press a brake pedal twenty times with the switched-off ignition. Fill a tank of the main brake cylinder to top and be convinced that liquid level when pumping does not go down below the minimum tag;
for pumping of back brakes press a brake pedal twenty times with the switched-off ignition and hold it in the pressed situation. Include ignition, weaken the corresponding back valve of pumping of brakes and hold it in this situation until from the following brake fluid vials of air then screw up the valve of pumping do not disappear and switch off ignition;
do not allow continuous operation of the pump more than 2 min. for once. If pumping requires more time, switch off the pump and continue operation in 10 min.
