You carry out removal of a forward support in the following order:

you will hang out a forward part of the car and record on basic racks;

remove forward wheels;

press a brake hose;

weaken, without turning off completely, connections of a brake hose to a support;

on a support of VW turn off two bolts of fastening of a support;

on a support of Girling turn off bolts of fastening of the directing fingers, holding the directing finger from a provorachivaniye a wrench (see fig. 12.5 );

remove front brake shoes;

rotating a support, disconnect it from a brake hose. Muffle a brake hose a stopper;

if necessary turn off a bolt and remove the holder of blocks from a rotary fist.

You carry out dismantling of a support in the following order:

clear a support of dust and dirt;

the air given to the brake cylinder through an opening for connection of a brake hose under low pressure take the piston from a support, having established at the same time instead of brake shoes wooden whetstone (fig. 12.8) ;

remove a dustproof cover from a flute in the piston and a sealing ring from a flute in an opening of a support (fig. 12.9) ;

wash out all details in methyl alcohol or pure brake fluid and wipe them;

at assembly of a support use a new sealing ring of the piston and a dustproof cover;

apply on a piston opening in a support and a sealing ring pure brake fluid. Establish a sealing ring in a support opening;

install a dustproof cover on the piston so that the cover the internal diameter entered a piston flute; insert the piston into a support and at the same time insert an external edge of a dustproof cover into a support before its fixing.

You carry out installation of a forward support in the following order:

if the holder of blocks acted, establish him on a rotary fist and fix by bolts the regulated moment;

screw a support on a brake hose;

establish brake shoes;

establish a support on the holder of blocks;

remove air from the brake system;

establish a wheel and lower the car.
