The gear belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (GRM) is recommended to be replaced through each 60 000 km of a run of the car.

Removal of a belt 4 (fig. 3.2) of the drive of the camshaft is carried out in the following order:
– disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the rechargeable battery;
– weaken a tension and take off a belt 8 of the drive of the generator and water pump;
– disconnect and remove an air supply sleeve between the air filter or the measuring instrument of a consumption of air and the case of a butterfly valve;
– lift a forward part of the car a jack and establish it on supports;
– remove the right forward wheel;
– turn off a bolt and remove a pulley of the water pump;
– turn off a nut and a special bolt of fastening of the lower cover of the 10th belt of the drive of the camshaft to the water pump;
– remove brackets and turn off a nut of fastening of the top cover of 1 belt of the drive of the camshaft, uncover 1;
– note the angular provision of a pulley of the 9th bent shaft concerning a cogwheel of the 11th bent shaft, remove a pulley 9;
– turn off bolts of fastening of the lower cover of the 10th belt of the drive of the camshaft, uncover 10 and laying;

– install the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point (TDP) of the end of a step of compression for what turn a bent shaft for a pulley bolt clockwise before combination of tags: on a pulley of a bent shaft and the lower cover of a belt of the drive of the camshaft (at not removed lower cover, fig. 3.3 ); on a pulley of a bent shaft and the cogged pulley of an intermediate shaft (at the removed lower cover, fig. 3.4 ); on the cogged pulley of the camshaft and a head of the block of cylinders (SOHC engines, fig. 3.5 ); on asterisks of camshafts (DOHC engines, fig. 3.6 ); on a flywheel of a bent shaft (fig. 3.7) ;
– weaken a nut 6 (see fig. 3.2 ) and weaken a belt tension 4 drives of the camshaft turn of a tension roller 5 counterclockwise;
– note a marker the direction of the movement of a belt 4 in case it is established repeatedly;
– take off a belt 4 drives of the camshaft;

       PREVENTION
After removal of a belt it is forbidden to turn cranked and distributive shaft as it will lead to serious damage of the engine because of impact of pistons with valves.

– turn off a nut of the 6th fastening of a tension roller, shoot a tension video 5;
– turn off a bolt of fastening of the cogged pulley of the camshaft, holding a pulley from a provorachivaniye;
– remove a washer, a cogwheel and a spline from the camshaft;
– remove the cogged pulley 13 of an intermediate shaft, having executed the same operations;
– turn off a bolt of the 12th fastening of the cogged pulley 11 of a bent shaft and remove a wheel. For a bolt otvorachivaniye the bent shaft needs to be blocked from a provorachivaniye. For this purpose on cars with the mechanical transmission include the fifth transfer and slow down the car the parking brake, on models with the automatic transmission uncover an observation port of a flywheel and block a bent shaft by means of an assembly shovel for a gear wreath of a flywheel.
You carry out installation of a belt of the drive of the camshaft to the sequences, the return to removal. At first the belt is installed on the cogged pulley of a bent shaft, then on the cogged pulley of an intermediate shaft, the cogged pulley of the camshaft and a tension roller. After a tension of a belt check combination of adjusting tags (see fig. 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 ).

The belt of the drive of the camshaft stretches rotation of an axis of a tension roller. The tension of a belt is checked by a provorachivaniye manually of the leading branch of a belt. If the belt cannot be turned on a corner 90 °, then it is necessary to weaken its tension if the belt can be turned on a bigger corner — to pull it. Turn a bent shaft of the engine on 2 whole revolutions and again check a tension of a gear belt.
