The mechanism of locking of a cowl is represented in fig. 16.5 .

You make removal in the following order:

– open and record a cowl cover in open situation;

– unscrew screws of fastening of the lock and remove the lock 1;

– disconnect from the lock a cable 2;

– having unscrewed fastening screws, disconnect the handle of opening of a cowl in the car;

– take a cable from the handle;

– attach a thin strong cord about 90 cm long to the internal end of a cable from the handle and accurately drag a cable in a motor compartment;

– disconnect a cable from brackets of fastening and take it.
