Repair Volkswagen Passat B3-B4/Passat B3-B4>> Electric equipment>> Hatch>> Drainage equipment of the hatch

Fig. 15.77. Arrangement of forward drainage hoses of the hatch: 1 – forward drainage hoses; 2 – drain tube

Drainage hoses are mounted on four corners of the gutter surrounding the hatch and pass through a roof and along window racks of a body. Forward drainage hoses of 1 (fig. 15.77) are laid along a rack of a windshield and a forward doorway, forward drain tubes 2 leave behind the protective panel of a forward wing. Back drainage hoses of 1 (fig. 15.78) are laid along a rack of back glass, and back drain tubes 2 have an exit to lateral face of a body near a ventilating window 3 behind a rear bumper. For cleaning of drainage tubes it is possible to use a flexible rope about 90 cm long, for example, an old rope of the drive of a speedometer. For cleaning of forward drainage hoses the rope needs to be pushed from top to down. For cleaning of back drainage hoses — from below up.
