       PREVENTION
Depending on modification of a starter of operation on repair of concrete model can slightly differ from described below.

You make dismantling in the following order:
– clear a starter;
– turn off a nut and disconnect a starter food wire from a clip of the traction relay;
– unscrew screws with crosswise vents and take the traction relay from the drive;
– disconnect a relay anchor from the inclusion lever;
– turn off coupling bolts and take them from the case;
– using the screw-driver as the lever, take rubber pillows over the inclusion lever;
– uncover the party of the drive and at the same time remove the inclusion lever;
– disconnect the inclusion lever from a ring of sliding of an anchor;
– unscrew screws and remove a small face cover and laying;
– remove a spring lock ring and laying, noting the exact number of laying as they define an axial side play of an anchor;
– remove a protective plate of a collector with laying;
– before removal of knot of the brush holder, take a tubular mandrel with outer diameter equal to diameter of a collector. Establish a mandrel opposite to a collector, then shift plugs and the brush holder on a mandrel;
– note the provision of a plate of the lever of inclusion concerning a fork and take a rotor;
– a metal tubular mandrel bring down a persistent ring from a lock ring on a rotor shaft, then remove lock and persistent rings, having shifted them on a shaft;
– remove the gear wheel drive from a rotor shaft.
After dismantling of a starter check:
– a condition of brushes, and also freedom of movement of brushes in brush holders;
– length of brushes, and in case of wear of brushes establish new brushes which need to be sealed into place. At the soldering you watch that solder did not get on a wire as it can prevent brushes to move freely in holders;
– force of a clip and provision of springs of brushes;
– and to proshlifovat a type of a collector which should be cleared the rag moistened in white spirit a fine-grained emery paper;
– a condition of plugs of the self-greased bearings. In need of replacement of plugs it is necessary to lower new plugs just before installation in a starter not less than for 20 min. in engine oil (viscosity of SAE 30 or 40);
– check teeths of the drive of a gear wheel and be convinced that the coupling of a free wheeling rotates only in one direction;
– check diameter of a collector.
