Cars without hydraulic booster

You make removal in the following order:

– you will hang out and fix a forward part of the car on basic racks;

– for improvement of access to steering transfer 12 ( fig. 11.13 ) turn off bolts of fastening and remove a damper 11 from a forward beam;

– remove forward wheels;

– turn off a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering thirst for a rotary fist and, using a stripper of spherical hinges, take the hinge of steering draft from a rotary fist (see fig. 11.11 );

– turn off the top and lower bolts 4, 6 connections of shaft of the universal hinge of a steering column. In a motor compartment access is limited by elements of brake and fuel system, and from below the exhaust system and steering transfer. Access to a bolt of the universal hinge the helmsman of a column is most convenient from interior of the car;

– remove the lower finishing of the dashboard and the shelf of the panel from the driver, then omit facing from a partition of a motor compartment at the basis of a steering column down;

– remove a protective cover from a partition from a motor compartment;

– using the winch, support the engine and the transmission;

– turn off bolts of fastening of a forward cross beam;

– weaken, without having turned off up to the end, a bolt of fastening of the back plug of the cross lever of a suspension bracket;

– without turning off bolts of fastening of the stabilizer of cross stability, lower a forward cross beam for office of shaft of a steering column. Do not lower a cross beam more than it is necessary for office of shaft.

Cars with the hydraulic booster

You make removal in the following order:

– on cars with the hydraulic booster of steering disconnect pressure head 14 ( fig. 11.14 ) and a returnable 13th hose from steering transfer. Before a detachment of tubes clear places of connections;

– merge the remained liquid in a container;

– move tubes from steering transfer and muffle the ends of tubes traffic jams;

– turn off four bolts of fastening of steering transfer, having left fastening bolts in a forward cross beam;

– having convinced that steering transfer is completely disconnected, move it back and take from under the car;

– check a condition of steering transfer and if necessary replace it.
