The belt of the drive of auxiliary units is considered correctly tense if its deflection (the lower arrow in
fig. 11.25
) between pulleys of the pump and a bent shaft makes no more than 5 mm. You carry out adjustment of a belt by rotation of an adjusting bolt for what:
– weaken nuts and bolts of fastening of the pump;
– weaken a lock-nut of an adjusting bolt on a pump arm;
– rotate an adjusting bolt and constantly check a belt tension until the belt does not cave in on 5,0 mm when pressing by a thumb on the middle of a belt between pulleys of a bent shaft and the pump;
– tighten a lock-nut of an adjusting bolt;
– tighten nuts and bolts of fastening of the pump.
