For detection of a source of short circuit disconnect chain loading elements (elements which consume electric current, such as lamps, electric motors, heating elements, etc.).

Take the corresponding safety lock from the assembly block and connect probes of a tester or the voltmeter to its plugs.

Provide existence of food in a chain, remembering at the same time that some chains of electric equipment join only at turn of a key in the ignition lock in a certain situation.

If the control lamp or indications of the voltmeter demonstrate existence in tension chain, then in a chain there is a short circuit.

If when conducting check tension in a chain is absent, however the safety lock still fuses, it demonstrates failure of an element of loading.
