Coupling: 1 – working cylinder of the hydraulic drive of coupling; 2 – fixing bolt; 3 – control lever mechanical (hummock) coupling; 4 – pusher; 5 – sealing washer (mechanical (hummock) type of coupling); 6 – gear washer (mechanical (hummock) type of coupling); 7 – the directing bearing plug; 8 – coupling switching off lever; 9 – release bearing; 10 – bolt; 11 – press disk; 12 – the conducted disk; 13 – a bolt of fastening of the directing bearing plug; 14 – the directing plug; 15 – spring clamp; 16 – sealing ring of an entrance shaft; 17 – sealing washer; 18 – a hairpin with a spherical tip; 19 – transmission case

Coupling (fig. 7.1) is intended for short-term separation of the engine and transmission at gear shifting or braking and their smooth connection at start-off of the car from the place, and also protection of details of transmission from dynamic loadings.
The coupling applied on cars, one-disk, dry, constantly closed type, with the central press spring of diaphragm type and a quencher of tortional fluctuations on the conducted disk.
The principle of action of coupling is based on torque transmission from a flywheel on the conducted clutch plate, so, and on a main shaft of the transmission, at the expense of friction forces arising between disks at the included coupling. Press the disk clamps among themselves and a flywheel the conducted disk with the effort which is not allowing its pro-slipping. For coupling switching off the release bearing influences a spring of a press clutch plate and wrings out press a disk from a flywheel therefore the conducted disk is released and torque transmission between the engine and the transmission stops.
Press the clutch plate fastens bolts to a flywheel. The conducted clutch plate is located between a press disk and the surface of friction of a flywheel. The nave of the conducted clutch plate is established on primary to a shaft of the transmission and freely moves on shaft grooves.
Because at each inclusion and switching off of coupling there is an insignificant wear of overlays of the conducted clutch plate, periodic adjustment of a free wheeling is necessary for preservation of normal working capacity on coupling with the hummock drive. Coupling with the hydraulic drive of adjustment does not demand as by each pressing a coupling pedal wear is automatically compensated by necessary amount of the liquid arriving from a tank of the hydraulic drive of the brake system, general with the hydraulic drive of coupling.
