The selector lever put in action by the driver is connected by a cable to the gear shifting lever on the transmission. The lever of gear shifting of transmission in turn puts in action the valve of the manual drive in the block of valves.

Blocking of transfer is provided with the block of electronic control by transmission. The control unit includes and switches-off the traction relay on the selector lever, preventing movement of the lever from provisions Park and Neutral under certain conditions.

The sensor of inclusion of a low gear which is built in a cable of management of a butterfly valve gives a signal on transmission. This signal is used by an electronic control unit for the choice of the most optimum transfer.

The selector lever assembled, including the traction relay of blocking of the included transfer, is shown in fig. 8.69 . When pressing the trigger button on the lever the pusher located in the lever is put in action. At the same time the unblocking of the mechanism is carried out and the possibility of inclusion of other transfer is provided.

The cable of the selector fastens from the inside of the selector mechanism for a finger and is fixed by a bracket. The location of a finger is shown in fig. 8.70 . Before installation apply a thin film of lubricant on a cable tip.

On the other hand the cable connects to the lever of gear shifting of transmission by means of a special bolt with a fillet, and the cover of a cable fastens a bracket to an arm on a transmission case. The cable tip from transmission before installation is also required to be greased slightly.

Adjustment of a cable

You carry out adjustment of a cable in the following order:

transfer the selector lever to situation Park;

weaken a bolt with a fillet, the fixing selector cable to the gear shifting lever on the transmission;

be convinced that the mechanism of transmission provided required position of Park what will point operation of the automatic castle device to;

tighten a bolt.

The automatic castle device (fig. 8.71) is a part of the mechanism of the selector of transfers.

Operation of the castle device is reached at turning on of the traction relay of the castle device by an electronic control unit. The traction relay turns a persistent plate, blocking a selector lever pusher. At the same time release of the mechanism is excluded from the situation set by a selector clamp.

The control unit turns on the traction relay every time when the lever is installed in provisions Park or Neutral. When pressing a pedal of a brake the control unit the signal of shutdown of the traction relay then the lever of the selector can move to other situation arrives.

In the traction relay of the castle device there are longitudinal grooves intended for fastening providing adjustment of position of the traction relay.

Disconnect the socket and at the switched-off traction relay adjust its situation (fig. 8.72) . After adjustment check operation of the castle device in provisions Park or Neutral, and also operation of the lever of the selector in all provisions.

NOTE Before a wraparound apply a thin film of the regulated lubricant on screws of fastening of the traction relay.
