When replacing cooling liquid it is necessary to remember that its concentration and quality not only prevents liquid freezing, but also lifts boiling temperature, and also protects system from corrosion and scaling on walls of channels. For this reason even for the summer it is not admissible to fill the cooling system with usual fresh water. Correctly picked up cooling liquid will prolong service life of all cooling system.

PREVENTION You make replacement of cooling liquid on the cold engine

Carry out replacement of cooling liquid in the following order:

– turn off a cover of a broad tank 4 (see fig. 4.1 );

– establish the capacity of the corresponding volume for collecting cooling liquid under a radiator;

on the car equipped with the amplifier of steering take off a driving belt of the pump of the amplifier of the steering mechanism from a pump pulley, weaken bolts of fastening and turn a pump arm up, for simplification of access to hoses of the thermostat and the pump of the cooling system;

– disconnect lower and bypass a hose from the thermostat 2 and the case of the water pump on the left side of the engine or unscrew a cover of the thermostat and remove the thermostat;

– merge cooling liquid in the prepared capacity.

– repeatedly connect all hoses and install the thermostat;

– do not connect the pump of the amplifier of steering, an arm and a driving belt until fill the cooling system with new cooling liquid;

– slowly fill in cooling liquid in a broad tank to level slightly below than a tag "MOVE";

– check tightness of the lower and bypass hoses and connection of the thermostat with the cooling system pump;

– establish an arm of the pump of the amplifier of steering and a driving belt;

– establish into place a cover of a broad tank;

– start the engine and let's it work in the mode of the accelerated idling turns, before turning on of the electric fan of cooling of a radiator;

– switch off the engine and check the level of cooling liquid in a broad tank. At a normal working temperature, cooling liquid has to be about a tag "MOVE";

– after the engine cools down repeatedly check the level of cooling liquid.
